As a person who wished to visit UK to watch the cricket worldcup and has been rejected the UK visa twice, I would like to ask my country's politicians: what's your secret of obtaining the visa for such countries ?<br />
<br />
I cannot obtain a visa of any decent country without declaring all known and un-known assets and liabilities and tax payments and family and business details.<br />
<br />
While I am paying more taxes than most of my country's politicians and parliamentarians, the visa officer still cannot be satisfied by my financial position and will question my willingness to comeback to my home country ?<br />
<br />
My chances of getting a visa are seriously dented if I have a traffic offence, a criminal offence or even an under trial case in court. While you have been facing all these charges in Pakistan but still you are able to get the visa and visit these countries at your free will.<br />
<br />
I still have to prove my roots to my home country and fair reason that I will return back home while you have enjoyed living in self exile for years in the most posh locations of the first world countries. How have you managed to live like a peaceful person in self exile in world's most peaceful of countries.<br />
<br />
You can be in jail on one day, released on interim bail on the second day and fly out to any of these countries on the third day.<br />
<br />
No visa officer questions your intentions to leave or your criminal cases and charges and source of funds ?<br />
<br />
As a person who was having match tickets to two of the matches of the icc cricket worldcup and who have been rejected the UK visa twice, i would like to know your secrets so i can make use of the same in my scenario.<br />
<br />
I would also like to request ICC that when allocating a major tournament to a host country, the host country should ease up the visa requirement for the fans. Considering that 5 of the 10 teams in the world cup are from a third world country. For many of us its a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of the biggest cricketing event.<br />
<br />
My finances should not be made directly associated to be eligible to travel to a particular country to watch my favourite game.<br />
<br />
We live in a digital age of gig economy, where with the help of internet and a mobile phone app, we can travel in any one's car (uber), can stay in any one's home (airbnb)<br />
<br />
Even in 2014 when India toured Pakistan for a cricket series, Pakistani government offered visa to fans holding a match ticket and many Indians made use of that relax visa option and visited Pakistan in numbers, making it a landmark cricket series between Pakistan and India.<br />
<br />
When football worldcup was held in Russia in 2018 the Russian government announced visa on arrival for football fans around the world.<br />
<br />
Any fan having a match ticket was entitled for a visa on arrival irrespective of his nationality and irrespective if his country's team was playing in the worldcup or not.<br />
<br />
Many fans from non worldcup participating countries like Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, China etc made use of this attractive visa policy and made their travels to Russia which proved to be the most successful football worldcup ever.<br />
<br />
With the next t20 world cup in 2020 being held in Australia I am already shrugging of my chances due to fear of being rejected visa for similar reasons and the 2023 world cup to take place in India and looking at the political tension between the two countries I am not very optimistic about going there either.<br />
<br />
With Pakistan already playing its home matches to foreign soil, I am putting my desire to watch a worldcup match at a stadium in comma, and may come out of comma when the world cup match is held in a less strict visa country which at present for us pakistanis, looks only srilanka.<br />
<br />
A disgruntlled fan,</div>

<br />
It was expected that other world sporting bodies and host countries will take inspiration from Russia and will facilitate fans in similar manner.<br />
<br />
Now coming forward to the cricket world cup in the UK in 2019.<br />
<br />
Getting the visa to the UK is one of the most difficult thing.<br />
<br />
No relaxation of visa was offered for the fans who wished to visit UK to watch the cricket worldcup.<br />
<br />
The visa officer as usualy, will inspect and suspect the usual availability of finances and probabilities of returning back to the home country.<br />
<br />
Considering that 5 of the 10 participating nations are from the third world country, the chances of securing the visa for the purpose of watching cricket matches gets very tricky.<br />
<br />
For many it's one of a life time experience, a pilgrimage, saving money for several years, to watch the cricket world cup match.<br />
<br />
One's finances should not be made directly associated to be eligible to travel to a particular country to watch his favourite game.<br />

We live in a digital age of gig economy, where with the help of internet and a mobile phone app, we can travel in any one's car (uber), can stay in any one's home (airbnb) and order food from any where, send and receive money with a snap of the finger thru the help of the mobile app.<br />

<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
Somewhere in the mid of 2016 I saw an online link which took
me to a website which was looking for volunteers for the upcoming 2018 football
world cup in Russia. The site was linked to the official fifa website, so I
knew it was genuine. I also searched and watched videos of volunteer
experiences of the previous world cups, so I instantly knew it would be a great
opportunity.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I went thru the website and read the various parts and
functions in which fifa was looking for volunteers, and was encouraging
international volunteers to apply. I had similar experience in cricket matches
that were being held in Pakistan and other similar events and I thought this
would be a great opportunity for me to be part of an international sporting
event.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The idea of visiting Russia and being part of a global
sporting event was enticing. So I applied online.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Though it was just 2016 and world cup was to be held in
2018, I knew it would be a long and waiting process, as was also mentioned on
the website that the final decision will be communicated by March 2018.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">First Test to be a Volunteer</span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
In December 2016, I received an invitation for an online
English language test. The test was online with instant online result. I was
informed instantly that I have passed the test. This was the first step and the
first barrier passed to being a volunteer.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Then again there was a long silence and there was no update
or any news about the next step. I knew I had to be patient. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Second Test</span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Then in October 2017, I was invited for an online Skype
interview. The interview lasted about 30 minutes but was intensive and tough.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The questions were mainly related to working in team, groups, leadership qualities, decision making and flexibility in attitude and duties.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I wish i had recorded the interview. It was one of the toughest interviews I have come across.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Once again there was no news about the result of my
interview but I was confident that I will be selected.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">The Final Selection</span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
In January 2018, I received an informal email informing me
that I have been selected as a volunteer and they wanted my decision and
willingness, If I was still interested to participate. I was also informed that
I will have to arrange my own air ticket but they will try to provide
accommodation which was still not guaranteed.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Visiting Russia was always a dream of mine and I instantly
replied, YES.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Finally in March 2018 I received an official email from FIFA
confirming my selection as a volunteer for the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia. I
was selected as a ticketing assistant. I instantly accepted the job.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Few days later, I received an email containing accreditation
confirmation from FIFA. I was told to apply for the Russian Visa, which I did at my Local Consulate in Karachi.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Russian Consulate gave me the visa on the spot.That was a great surprise. They took the documents along with the accredition letter, checked their system and issued the visa on the spot.</div>

Later, I was informed about my shift schedule. I was placed
at one of the airports in Moscow as a ticketing assistant and was to help the
visitors in getting their tickets from the ticket kiosk or the counter.</div>

I booked my flight tickets and was on my way to Russia.
Finally after a wait of two years I was on my way to Russia. A Dream come true.</div>

I arrived at Vnukovo International airport, one of three

I have stayed at somerset chain in Bangkok twice before and i had no hesitation in staying at Somerset chain in Kuala Lumpur. And i must say it was a great stay.<br />
<br />
I booked a one bedroom apartment which was a decent size for our family with 3 young children. The apartment was exactly as shown on their website or on other hotel booking websites with dinning table for 4, kitchen with utensils and cooking facilities. A washing machine- 2 tvs (one in lounge and one in the bedroom)<br />
<br />
It also had seperate wardrobe room which can also be used for luggage storage and hanging clothes, along with safe and ironing board.<br />

The sofa/ couch and rug in the lounge was very comfortable and my wife wished we had a similar couch and rug back at home.<br />

The roof top was with children pool , suana and a full size pool.<br />
The rooftop also had a visitor lounge where you can just relax, read and sip coffee along with a children section.<br />
<br />
Breakfast was decent with a selection of fruits and vegetables, noodles and rice, cereals, eggs, juices with tea and coffee.<br />
<br />
Though the property is a few minutes walk towards the nearest mart and metro station (ampang park) - but that was alright - we knew this before booking and were pretty alright to walk a bit to the mart - Through out we used the "grab" car hailing to get our car at the door step , so location was not a problem either.<br />
<br />
The nearest metro station was Ampang Park and many eateries including kfc, pizza hut, mc donald and other restaurants were around there. Also a money changer was also there at ampang park metro station along with some cheap shopping for shirts and other accessories at ampang park shopping mall.<br />
<br />
The staff was courteous and helpful thru out- All in all it was a good and memorable stay for my family.</div>

While planning my recent trip to singapore, I was looking for a serviced apartment to accommodate my family of 5. I know hotel and serviced apartments in Singapore can be really expensive and also the the room and apartment size is very small.<br />
<br />
Singapore is one of the most expensive city and finding a quality hotel with in budget is really challenging.<br />
<br />
I turned to all the famous hotel and apartment booking website and found Park Avenue Clemenceau to be of decent size, value and service. The reviews were mixed but what i was looking for was available and matched my search.<br />
<br />
So I booked a one-bedroom apartment. The apartment was decent size when you consider it is in Singapore. Location was very close to clarke quay and taxi was always available at the gate. All the main attractions were very near to the hotel so the average taxi fare was from S$ 7 - 12 , apart from surge pricing which was usually implied in the evening.<br />
<br />
The apartment was with full kitchen utilities and washing machine, iron and dinning table with chair. Sitting area was decent size and couch was very comfortable.<br />
<br />

Housekeeping was every alternate day ( I knew this before booking , so no complaints about that)<br />
Breakfast, though they do not mention any where, but it is included with the room and is served from 7 - 9 am only and no breakfast on Saturday and Sunday ( we also knew this before booking, so again no complains)<br />
<br />
The bedroom was small and cozy but had a cupboard with drawers which was big enough to accommodate our clothes. The bedroom was decent with good linen, pillows and comforter.<br />
<br />
However, breakfast was usually breads, noodles, cereals and tea / coffee . Since it was free , any variety was welcome.<br />

Super store and mall was just next door of the hotel so any thing you require was easily available.<br />
<br />
Considering the room size, facilities, amenities and price, this was a very good hotel and my family really enjoyed staying here.<br />
<br />
It was central and just walking distance to the night life and attractions. It was quiet and peaceful and while the apartment was around commercial and residential complex but it was not crowded and was peaceful around.<br />
<br />
Singapore itself is a peaceful city and my family enjoyed the stay at Park Avenue Clemenceau.</div>

On my recent visit to China, i visited the Chimelong water park. I have heard about the park for quite a long time but never got a chance to visit it. On my recent visit, i had a day off and planned to visit the chimelong water park.<br />
<br />
<b>How to reach Chimelong Park</b><br />
<br />
We went there in a metro. The nearest station is CHANG LONG.<br />
After exiting the station, there is a shuttle bus station which can take you to the park.<br />
Or you can take a walk of about 10 minutes and you can be there at the main area.<br />
<br />
The Chimelong parks consist of three parks. Safari Park, Amusement park and Water Park.<br />
<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
Each has a separate entrance, however you can buy a combo ticket for all three parks or either two or just one.<br />
<br />
We preferred to go to the water park. It was a wednesday.<br />
The entry ticket is RMB 200 / person<br />
<br />

In my recent trip to china, i visited the much anticipate Canton Fair. The canton fair is the largest fair exhibition in the world, where items are ranging from a needle pin to air plane parts (literally)<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Its covers various categories and industry sectors, its so huge that exhibition is divided into 3 phases. Each phase is divided into various categories and sectors. The canton fair takes place twice a year. Once in April and once in october.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I visited the April exhibition and attended the first phase, which was most suited for the products I was looking for. To check which phase is suitable for you, you may visit the official website of <a href="http://www.cantonfair.org.cn/" target="_blank">canton fair</a> to get information about your desirable sector / phase.<br /><div>
<br /><div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>To attend the canton fair</b></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
To attend the canton fair as a visitor there are two ways. </div>
</div>
</div>
<div>
You can go to the exhibition complex and go to registration area and register as a visitor and pay the entrance fees. The walk in entrance fees is around RMB 150. Make sure to take your photograph along with you. If you dont have a photograph with you, you can have your self photographed at the spot and it will be extra RMB 100 for the photos.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The other way is to register online at the canton fair website at <a href="http://www.cantonfair.org.cn/">http://www.cantonfair.org.cn/</a></div>
<div>
This is the simplest, easiest and cheapest way. Register an account on their website, fill in all your required details like name, address, business name, visiting card, photo and other details.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Once you fill in all your details, then apply for visitor pass. The step is simple and you will receive a confirmation email / code confirming your registration.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So on the day of your visit, just go to pre-registered / online registered counter, show them your confirmation email code (either in print or on your mobile phone ) and they will pocess and print your visitor badge in few minutes time.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The visitor badge is valid for life time so keep it safe with you even after your return to your home country.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
<b>Visiting the canton fair</b></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
The easiest way to visit is to take the metro. The station is PAZHOU which exits directly at the entrance gate of the exhibition. Pass thru security and badge verification steps and you are into the exhibition complex. On the way from exit towards the complex entry you will be haggled by various marketeers offering you gifts and giveaways in return of your visiting card.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This is worth a try as some of them have some very interesting gifts like a chargable fan, a proper trolley and gift bags, pens etc. It was an interesting encounter.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The complex itself is enermous, comprising of various complexes and a bridgway which links the two complexes. Make sure to take a guide map and mark the areas which you are interested in, so you visit exactly the same halls which are of your requirement.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<div>
The hall and facilities are well laid and once you get to understand the hall layout and understand which product category is displayed in which hall / floor and area, it gets easier to navigate the exhibition. It took me almost a day to understand the floor plan, stalls, stall numbers and sectors.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

Opening a bank account in china as a visitor.<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
On my recent trip to China, i opened a bank account in Agriculture Bank of China on my visitor visa.<br />
<br />
Since, english is not very common in china it was difficult to explain to the guys what we want, but in the end one customer service representative understood that we were there to open a bank account and he helped us filling up the form and our details.<br />
<br />
The steps were simple, but we needed help of the customer service rep as the form were in chinese so we asked him to fill our form.<br />
<br />
The steps were simple.<br />
<br />
- Fill in your details with passport number<br />
- Local chinese mobile phone number is must, which is used to send transaction pins and transaction alerts. SO it is suggested to purchase a local china sim before going to open a bank account.<br />
- Fill in your address. You can give your hotel address which is also acceptable.<br />
- Photocopy your passport information page and visa page.<br />
<br />
The form looked something like this.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbLBbSTr45RlUlKS2sItBKqC5mdFGUxUiJfNkvJpgXBCdCClo5GCAxcNhS_oVNeq46KgBnUqP_6BRlCDprxhNtR6RX6zTvbPLyPZp_PmxW4FSWiD2vrj4cfCZXkUq7_lP6AkVN8dmu2Zo/s1600/20170413_104429.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbLBbSTr45RlUlKS2sItBKqC5mdFGUxUiJfNkvJpgXBCdCClo5GCAxcNhS_oVNeq46KgBnUqP_6BRlCDprxhNtR6RX6zTvbPLyPZp_PmxW4FSWiD2vrj4cfCZXkUq7_lP6AkVN8dmu2Zo/s320/20170413_104429.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Once you have filled in the details, take a token and wait for your turn.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
On my turn , i went to the counter. The officer checked my details and for account opening send a pin code to my mobile number. I entered the pin at the numberic counter which was at the visitor side of the window.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Once i filled in the pin number, the process began and he asked me to enter my atm pin and one more time to verify my atm pin.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
After the atm pin is verified, i was asked to make an initial deport of RMB 100.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
After the deposit, i was instantly issued an atm card and an online banking usb dongle to enable online banking.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So now you can enjoy the benefits of being a bank account holder in china.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Benefits:</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
- When making exchange in china, you can ask the dealer to transfer the amount to your china bank account </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
- When purchasing you can make purchases thru your debit card.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
- No need to carry cash.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
- You can withdraw cash at any atm in china.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
It was a learning experience for me to open a bank account in a foreign country as a visitor and that too on a visit visa in a country like china.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
All in the all the process took less than an hour, but it helped a lot in getting payment in my bank account and then making payment to vendors and suppliers thru the debit card.</div>

Boat tour is a great outdoor activity for karachites, where you can hire a full day or half day boat from keamari jetty, near the karachi sea port and can spend a good time out on the sea with friends and relatives.<br />
<br />
The boats are not fancy but locally made boats with a smaller engine and some of them are double decker, so you can climb up the deck to watch the sunset and if the tide is ok you can also catch some fishes.<br />
<br />
While majority of the time is consumed in fishing, the boat sailors try to bargain time by stopping the boat and indulging in fishing activity which takes up most of the time.<br />

For quiet a while, I have been hoping to stay at movenpick hotel, karachi.<br />
They seemingly offered a great weekend package for families which was priced at around US$ 100 / night for 2 adults / 2 children including breakfast.<br />
<br />
I booked the room over the phone and requested for early check-in by 12 pm which was easily accommodated as their regualr check-in time is 2 pm.<br />
<br />
<b>Check-in</b><br />
On check-in the lobby was nice with good security and valet parking for visitors and guests.<br />
My children liked the first look of the hotel.<br />
<br />
On check-in i requested for late check out which was also accommodated.<br />

The room was big with balcony and facing the pool and side of the chief minister house.<br />
It was quiet enough for a family of 5, with 2 children and 1 infant. It comes with tea and coffee making facility and complimentary water bottles.<br />

<br />
<b>Verdict</b><br />
For the price and service this is totally worth hotel to stay and try, specially for the breakfast. This is a nice getaway for your stay in karachi, where you will feel secured and at ease.<br />

<br />
We tasted this street food near the main guanzhou railway station. The nearest metro station was Sunyanli metro station. Exit sunyanli metro station, take exit C and then walk towards the guanzhou metro station.<br />
<br />
The footpaths is lined with street vendors selling from clothings, glasses, hand bags, children garments, toys etc.<br />
<br />
The street specially comes to live at night as it is near to the main wholesale market and many people who are out on business during the day, explore the streets at night.<br />
<br />
The street it self is popular among pakistanis, indians and african national as it is near the main wholesale market.<br />
<br />
So if you are in guangzhou, you should try the halal street food, </div>

I have travelled to china several times, but this time i travelled there to attend the canton fair.<br />
Canton Fair is held twice a year. Once in April - May and then second in October.<br />

Each fair has 3 phases, ranging to a vast variety of products.<br />
<br />
I have been trying to get the visa in time to attend the first phase as it is relevant to my business type.<br />
However, I was unable to get the visa in time, and hence visited china for the second phase.<br />

Karachi Airport is the busiest
Airport of Pakistan. <span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">On my recent
flight from Karachi Airport, I feel that the airport needs major refurbishment,
uplift and more easier system.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">As I entered the
main departure building, my luggage was first scanned by the scanner machines of
the Airport security force. After passing that, I was greeted by Custom
Officers who were inquiring me with all sorts of questions like my destination,
the purpose of my visit, duration of my visit and my profession.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">

<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">If you are lucky you can pass thru custom officers without having
them open your luggage. But if they decide to check your luggage, they will
open your luggage on an open type table, infront of several on looking eyes. My
luggage and its belongings are very personal and private to me and I do not
feel alright to have my bag inspected infront of everyone.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">After being done with the customs, I was greeted by Anti Narcotic
Force (ANF) who had similar questions as that of custom officials. So if they
let you pass thru then you are lucky, else once again you are made to open your
bags and having your belongings inspected by the ANF officials.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">After passing thru the ANF counter, I went to the airline check-in
counter for the boarding pass. I then went to the immigration counter. After
passing thru the immigration counter, there was another counter named “FIA Immigration
RE-checking counter”. Apparently, here they checked that my passport was
stamped correctly by the immigration officer, but yet again these people asked
somewhat similar questions as I have been answering ever since entering the
airport.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

Dreamworld resort and hotel is a resort in Karachi, which is a bit outside the city.<br />
The resort is membership based, however rooms are available for non members on a special price.<br />
<br />
The rooms are well laid and maintained with free wi-fi internet, free mini bar and use of their facilities like bowling, swimming, archery, horse riding, buggy ride etc.<br />
<br />
The washrooms in the room are well kept.<br />
<br />
The hotel is good for long weekends or getaway. The resort also has 4 restaurant offering variety of food, but my pick is cafe lagoon, which has a good selection of burgers and steaks.<br />
<br />
They also offer night facilities which are open well into the night upto 5 am.<br />
<br />
While resort is huge, you may not find it over crowded except at the pool area and washrooms around the pool where people tend to be loud.<br />
<br />
Over all its a good experience to spend some time at the resort.<br />

Karachi is full of tourist spot, it is just that we need to understand and develop the trend of tourism in this city which has a mix of old and new, modern and historical. However, tourism in Karachi is neglected by both the locals and government.<br />
<br />
Recently, I along with my few friends decided to visit manora island and beach for a evening.<br />
<br />
For this we went to Keamari Jetty to take a boat to manora island. Many public boats flock to an fro from manora on daily basis with a one way fare of Rs. 50 / person.<br />
<br />
However, we decided to hire our own private local boat. After some barganing we hired a boat for 3 of us for Rs. 1200 (Rs. 400 / person ) for 2-way trip.<br />
<br />
We were accompanied by 2 other passengers, so the boat was sory of semi-private.<br />
<br />
The trip to manora from Keamari takes about 20 minutes, and you dont really get a feeling that you are in deep open sea as manora is very much near the karachi port.<br />
<br />
Once we reached manora jetty, we paid the entrance toll to manora which was Rs. 10 / person.<br />
Once inside manora, it looked quiet impressive as the area is under pakistan navy. The roads were smooth and clean as per pakistani standards and many shops were selling drink, eatables etc.<br />
<br />
WE took a local suzuki carry to take us to the beach. The fare was Rs. 20 / per person.<br />
It took less than 5 minutes to reach the beach.<br />
<br />
Once we were at the beach area, it was worth the visit.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The Road leading to the beach area. Clean and Crisp.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
The facilities at the beach were also an added advantage which you do not find easily in other beaches of Karachi. There were clean washrooms, place to wash your feet once you are out from the beach, and eateries.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Manora Tower in the background. Eateries and Washrooms.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
The beach itself was clean, well maintained and many people were enjoying there on a saturday evening which is not a holiday. The environment and location seemed clean, impressive and secure.<br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">View of Manora Beach</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
Since we were on a short trip, we spent less than an hour at the beach before heading back to karachi.<br />
All in all it was a memorable trip, and longer duration can be planned easily, as the place is easily accessible, secure and clean.<br />
<br />
So we took a suzuki back to the manora jetty, and headed back to karachi before sunset.<br />

On this recent trip to dubai, I booked online tickets for Burj Khalifa "At the top"<br />
I booked the ticket for a fixed date and fixed time which was around AED 125 / per person<br />
<br />
Express ticket, which can be purhcased at the spot is AED 500 / per person<br />
<br />
So it is better to book in advance either online or from the ticket counter at burj khalifa for a fixed date / time ticket which is far cheaper.<br />
<br />
We went there at around 3 pm. The skies were clear and it was a good view from the top which was 125th Floor of burj khalifa.<br />
<br />
The views were stunning with a 360 degree viewing of dubai from the top.<br />

On my recent trip to dubai, I wanted to spend some time on the beach.<br />
<br />
I read and heard about mamzar beach park in dubai which is a bit off the city but a good park.<br />
Another good thing is that they offer chalet rental, which can be rented from the park itself, or dubai muncipality office in dubai or online on the dmc.gov.ae website.<br />
<br />
A friend of mine staying in dubai booked the chalet for me.<br />
<br />
The chalet is at the extreme end of the park which makes it a bit private as that part is not much visited by the people but had to walk a long way to reach the chalet.<br />
<br />
The chalet was nicely build with refrigerator, satellite tv channels, completely air conditioned, with small kitchenette which included a sink and cabinets and a 4 seater sofa and complete washroom with toilet and shower facility and running hot and cold water.<br />

The out door patio had sitting area and barbecue area.<br />
<br />
This was a great chalet for a beach day with lots of place to sit and barbecue and direct access to the beach. My family loved it the most.<br />
<br />
The chalet was well kept and maintained which was very surprising to us, but hats off to the dubai municipality.<br />
<br />
We rented a small chalet which was AED 150 / day timing from 8 am till 10 pm.<br />
<br />
We took a bus to the mamzar beach park. The bus route was C28, which we took from REEF Mall / Salah Al din metro station and it dropped us right outside the beach park.<br />
<br />
Bus fare was around AED 3 / person / one way<br />
Park Entrance: AED 5 / person<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is a brief walkthru video of the chalet<br />

Recently tourism scene in Pakistan, specially in Karachi is on a roll. There are many companies and individuals who have started offering tourism packages with in karachi. This includes Karachi city tour, island tours, karachi historical tours, karachi beaches, national parks etc.<br />
<br />
I heard a lot about churna island (charna island) tours, which have been going around for last 3 to 4 years. I always wanted to take the tour but due to one reason or the other could not take it.<br />
<br />
I have had heard about the clear water, the underwater life and the journey and always wanted to take on such a journey.<br />
<br />
Finally I decided to take a tour and signed up with <a href="http://www.diversclub.pk/" target="_blank">Divers club</a> for the tour on a saturday morning.<br />
<br />
The tour started from a said location in Karachi at about 8 am where we boarded an air conditioned coaster bus.<br />
We were given on board refreshments which included sandwich, juice, cookies and cup cakes.<br />
<br />
After a drive of about 2 hours, we reached the beach area, named mubarak village.\<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_jrcVRpe5mdRfNWKzdmeFU19ixd0FaMbtFeEfJc-wQaW-2g3hAB0P_UYgOW88XkoMgbm9xnGRgk4m8Em1UxECGyB673bmzrw2P8jdcDi88p696xVf3TTU6WvLc1wOckLLHde2jhDzx3M/s1600/2015-04-25+09.49.02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_jrcVRpe5mdRfNWKzdmeFU19ixd0FaMbtFeEfJc-wQaW-2g3hAB0P_UYgOW88XkoMgbm9xnGRgk4m8Em1UxECGyB673bmzrw2P8jdcDi88p696xVf3TTU6WvLc1wOckLLHde2jhDzx3M/s1600/2015-04-25+09.49.02.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Local Boats waiting for us to take us to churna island</span></div>
<br />
<br />
From there we boarded a local boat to reach churna island.<br />
<br />
The boat took around an hour to reach the churna island. By around 12 pm we were at churna island<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1dlDqaOxcBdZA573-t17QwFDedCJulwgmx5sDwLWe4IjxomaPJeU2vK98B1DlZ2B55T1qHVF5gs9SHkbXga7AVxSxo44TwnNpyTAZ_MqNcFpxUkCB2PSgkIUBrBwaE0q886CsM7E4ARg/s1600/IMG-20150425-WA0001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1dlDqaOxcBdZA573-t17QwFDedCJulwgmx5sDwLWe4IjxomaPJeU2vK98B1DlZ2B55T1qHVF5gs9SHkbXga7AVxSxo44TwnNpyTAZ_MqNcFpxUkCB2PSgkIUBrBwaE0q886CsM7E4ARg/s1600/IMG-20150425-WA0001.jpg" height="191" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
Churna island itself is a small cliffy island in the middle of the sea. The water there is clear with lots of flora and funa life can be observed thru the snorkelling gear.<br />
<br />
Some of the guys on the tour also enjoyed diving from a cliff.<br />
<br />
We were in the open sea for about 3 hours and by 3 pm it was time to head back to the shore.<br />
<br />
By 4:30 pm we were back to the beach area where hot lunch was ready to be served to us.<br />
The tour had its lunch with drink and finally by 5 pm we were ready to head back reaching back the city at around 6 pm.<br />
<br />
All in all it was 12 hour trip including transport, boat rides and snorkelling and swimming.<br />
<br />
While Karachi is starved of entertainment, this is surely a great day out of karachites to explore and see the natural side of karachi. The cost of the tour was around US$ 30.00 per person while the same tour in thailand and malaysia may cost around US$ 70 - 100 / per erson.<br />
<br />
I will recommend karachites to explore this island and have a good time out with friends and family.<br />
<br />
Make sure to take some sun block and some medicines in case you are sea sick</div>

Yiwu International Trade City is like a big wholesale mall where you can find almost all items from a pin to aeroplane. The market is huge spread around in 6 buildings. Each building has around 5 floors.<br />
<br />
Each floor specializes in a particular commodity.<br />
Like ground floor will specialize in a particular category like toys - so you will find all toys related items in this floor.<br />
<br />
The market is big, and you need to do your homework before coming as each building has its own speciality and its very huge and vast. Depending on the type of product you are looking for you need at least two days to search the market and analyze products and then place the order on third or fourth day.<br />
<br />
Market is big with lots of variety and combination of the same product.<br />
Most shop owners do not know english, so better take a translator or even better if you install translation app on your spart phone.<br />
<br />
Most Google services are banned in china, so it is better if you install the language package before hand which becomes very handy.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Its better if you do your search and work before hand. Yiwu market has an official site which list all the shops and their products, so you will be in a better position to visit those shops directly for your order. The site is : http://en.yiwugou.com/</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Over all the market is huge and you are surely to find the product you are looking for.</div>
